Favorite class
A course taught by Michael Shub on Dynamics. It was interactive. We helped him through the theory. It was great!

Favorite hangout
Because I was a grad student, I tended to spend most of my time in Cambridge, where I lived while attending Brandeis.

Best memories
Hanging out with Michael Spivak in the mathematics common room. It was friendly and only slightly above me intellectually.

Brandeisian(s) who most influenced your life
My thesis adviser, Richard Palais. He still influences me.

How do you stay connected to Brandeis today?
Dr. Palais is retired. I do have contacts with Ruth Charney, the present head, through women's programs.
